I’m an IT Professional with 21 years of experience with primary focus on Web Infrastructure and a passion for security. I’m living Operational Excellence, in pursuit of completing AWS DevOps - Professional certification and looking for excuses to translate my shell & perl coding skills into python & javascript all in the hunt of the low cost “cloud cacti”. A solution I drop on the ground and walk away. It just grows and takes care of itself. It is well armored from threats and attacks but yet provides the desired need of nourshing fruit and / or landscape beauty. Simple & elegant functional design, inherited security with low to zero maintenance.
I’ve worked in multiple roles & levels for businesses across the corporate, startup, DoD and religious idioms. Always bringing my fundamentals of instant value add, building bridges across the silo moats, positive can-do attitude, sharing knowledge & educating, team spirit and exceeding expectations. As a team member I have a knack of being a catch all, filling the gaps and be a silent leader. As a leader I’m highly motivating, lead by example and share my depth of knowledge & skills to ensure my employees can be successful. Not afraid of ownership, I embrace it.
The architect, engineer and developer mentality doesn’t stop at work day end. I use the same view when it comes to raising my children, gardening, home improvement and throwing out funky, slapping licks/ riffs on my bass guitars and Chapman stick. With constantly learning, continuous improvement and good integrations of work / life balance, the deployments of happiness are pretty sweet and fulfilling!
